Michael Shaw is the OK Human Resource Director-Elect, Conference Chair of the Human Resources in Indian Country Conference, and a Human Resources consultant. Mike utilizes his many years of experience in Indian Country and combines those with his experience in both privately and publicly held organizations to advocate for best practice in the workplace.
Mike’s previous experience in Indian Country includes overseeing the human resources function for FireLake/Citizen Potawatomi Nation during there largest undertaking of building FireLake Grand Casino and Resort, reorganizing and centralizing the Human Resources function for Muscogee Creek Nation Casinos and creating a start-up tribal owned staffing company that achieved double the national average in sales during it’s first year of operation.
