Cody B. Holt started his career at Great Plains Technology Center as a Small Business Management Coordinator at the Economic Development Center (EDC) back in 2005. He worked with small business owners and managers to improve business operations and presents seminars and programs to the general public on issues relevant to small business. Cody provided accounting expertise and tax consulting services as well as e-commerce training, business social media implementation, marketing, specialized seminars, conferences and training to EDC clients.

Growing up in a family business, Cody was able to learn many aspects of business and running companies before starting college. Family businesses always have interesting dynamics that come into play. Some family members play nice, and others are in need of their own reality TV Show.

August 1, 2016, Cody became the youngest Business Development Center (AKA Business Incubator) Coordinator for Great Plains. Currently, the Business Development Center has 11 Tenants – which includes two coworking spaces, eight private offices, one artist and one light industry. Not bad considering the Grand Opening was May 5, 2017, and tenants were able to move into their space May 8, 2017.

Cody holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Economics and a Master of Business Administration degree all from Cameron University. Cody was a little bored and decided to get another degree in accounting. When asked why he would go back to school and get a degree in accounting, he replied in his straight face manner that he needed help sleeping.
