Speaker: Matthew Shunkamolah, Osage Casino GM
Matthew Shunkamolah is a proud member of the Osage Nation from the Zon-Zo-Li District, and a proud descendant of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma and the Navajo Nation.
Matthew graduated from New Mexico State University in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government and a minor in Criminal Justice. Matthew has worked for many Native Nations across New Mexico, Arizona and Oklahoma and has always strived to be a positive representative for the American Indian communities in which he has lived.
He has had a diverse career working for Native Americans in the fields of healthcare, forestry, research, recreation and gaming.
Matthew’s gaming career started at Ft. McDowell Arizona with the Tribal Gaming Office as a Tribal Gaming regulator. As a trained regulator, Matthew then served as an Investigator with the Comanche Nation Gaming Commission, Executive Director of the Osage Nation Gaming Commission, and Chief Gaming Regulator of the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma.
Matthew has also served in the operations of Gaming as a Manager. He has been a shift Manager for the Osage Million Dollar Elm and a General Manager of the Seminole Nation Casino. Currently Matthew is the General Manager of the Osage Casino Tulsa.
Matthew is and will always be an advocate for Native American culture, government, and community progress.
