SUMMARY:AICCO State Annual Election 2024
DESCRIPTION:It’s almost time for the annual AICCO State Board Election!  \nElection Details  \nDate: Monday\, December 9 \nTime: 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM \nLocation: Margaritaville (River Spirit) \nAddress: 8330 Riverside Pkwy\, Tulsa\, OK 74137 \nRegistered Native Businesses\, Native Individuals and Native Students who are up to date on their membership dues are eligible to vote. \nEach year three (3) AICCO members are elected to the State Board to serve 3-year terms.  \nParticipating in these elections is important because your elected AICCO State Board members guide the AICCO throughout the years.   \nNominating Candidates \nAnyone nominated for a board seat must be a Native AICCO member in good standing. \nCandidate nominations must be received at least two weeks prior to the election to appear on the ballot. That deadline is November 25\, 2024. \nNominate a candidate or self-nominate by using this form: https://forms.gle/AUeeeXXqF4JsKwAZ7  \nNominees must be on-site the day of the election to introduce themselves and answer questions. They will have an opportunity to share what they believe they can contribute to AICCO as a state board member. \nFloor nominations will also be accepted. \nThe State Board meets monthly and offers a virtual link and a phone line. Board Members will be asked to serve on committees and be available to attend Chamber and other events across the State. Board Members must not miss more than three non-consecutive meetings without prior notice to the Board of Directors. \nAdditional Information \nOfficers will be elected by the AICCO State Board at a later date in December to serve one-year terms. \nThis means officer positions will not be decided at the December 9 election; just the board members will be decided on this day. State board members may then nominate a fellow board member or self-nominate at the December 16 State Board meeting for the following positions: President\, Vice President\, Secretary and Treasurer. \nWe look forward to your participation in the upcoming AICCO State Board Election!
