Panelist: Chris Cochran, Credit Analyst, Citizen Potawatomi Community Development Corporation
Chris Cochran recently joined the CPCDC as a Credit Analyst. Mr. Cochran brings over 25 years of entrepreneurial experience in the insurance and financial services industry where he owned and operated a multi-lined agency offering personal and commercial lines insurance as well as investment products. Mr. Cochran prides himself in being a member of the Muscogee Creek Nation and looks forward to utilizing his business talents in helping the Native community become productive citizens through education, financing, and home and small business ownership.
A recent graduate of Leadership Native Oklahoma, Mr. Cochran also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Western New Mexico University. He has been married to his wife, Kerry, for 34 years and they have raised four boys.
Panelist: Stacy Beach, Senior Vice President, Tribal Banking, Sovereign Bank
Stacy Beach is a Senior Lender in the Tribal Banking Department of Sovereign Bank which is owned by the Citizen Potawatomi Nation.
Stacy has worked as a Lender for over two decades with experience in many different types of industries. She is committed to providing financial literacy and economic development in all areas of Indian Country. Her goal is building long term relationships and supporting the financial goals for all Tribes.
Panelist: Krista Basinger, Senior Vice President of Lending, Tinker Federal Credit Union
Krista Basinger, from Mcloud, OK., is the Senior Vice President of Lending at Tinker Federal Credit Union, the largest credit union in Oklahoma. She has been with TFCU for 40 years serving in various roles such as Vice President, Director of Lending and Vice President of Mortgage Lending which has provided her with over 38 years of lending and financial education experience.
Krista holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Southern Nazarene University, she is a graduate of the Credit Union National Associations Management School and Business Lending school. In her role as SVP of Lending, Krista is responsible for the strategic growth of TFCU’s lending initiatives. She currently serves on the Commercial Loan Review Committee, Asset, Liability, and Management Committee and Rate Committee. Krista has a passion for lending and helping members with their financial goals. Sharing credit union values and offering the best solution is always her top priority.
Panelist: Susan Bates, Senior Loan Officer, REI Oklahoma Business Lending
Susan Bates serves as REI Business Lending’s Senior Loan Officer. She has completed her certification as an Economic Development Finance professional from the National Development Council. Susan has completed various trainings through National Association of Development Companies, Commercial Lending School from the Oklahoma Bankers Association, and Credit Ready Meat and Poultry Lending Initiative through the University of New Hampshire.
As Senior Loan Officer, Susan is responsible for marketing all programs available through REI Oklahoma, underwriting and packaging the SBA 504, and Community Advantage loans. Susan is also responsible for underwriting loans for financing through REI Oklahoma’s various direct lending programs, which include SBA Microloan, EDA, and USDA.
Susan serves as the CDC representative on the OKAGGL (Oklahoma Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders) Board. A graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Susan has been with REI for over 28 years.
