Join us for our monthly luncheon as we hear from two guest speakers! Edith Baker, CESO Manager Muscogee Creek Nation will be speaking on Contracting and Employment Support. Suzy KnifeChief, TERO Director Pawnee Nation OK will be speaking on TERO Ordinance, Education, & Job Training.
Edith Baker is a member of the Muscogee Creek Tribe and a lifetime resident of Oklahoma. Previously she worked for Norman Public Schools, Indian Education as a College and Career Advisor. She has also worked for the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission (OESC) with Workforce Oklahoma as a Talent Acquisition representative. After leaving employment with the State, Ms. Baker returned to the education field and was employed with Platt College as their Director of Career Services where she maintained a 90% placement rate for the college’s graduates.
Suzy Knife Chief is a graduate at Oklahoma State University with a degree in Sociology. She has worked with Pawnee Nation a total of 12 years in various capacities, mainly in the health field. She was a TERO Commissioner for several years, one year a secretary, and
last year as the Chair. She is passionate about helping Native people find their “niche” whether it be school, a trade, or work experience. She wants Native people to be successful in every capacity.
