Speaker: Enoch Kelly Haney, Former Seminole Nation Principal Chief
Enoch Kelly Haney was a Principal Chief of the Seminole Nation. He was the first full-blood Native to serve in the Oklahoma Legislature. He served in the Oklahoma Senate (1986-2002) and in the Oklahoma House of Representatives (1980-1986).
Chief Haney is an internationally recognized Seminole/Muscogee (Creek) artist. He earned the title of “Master Artist of the Five Civilized Tribes” and served as “The Honored One” at Red Earth. He is most recently recognized for his sculpture atop the Oklahoma Capitol Dome-The Guardian. He produced and hosted a weekly television program. He narrated and consulted a Seminole documentary series. He taught at OCU and owned an art gallery. Chief Haney shared his vision expertise and guidance serving on the Board of Directors for the American Indian Cultural Center and Museum. Kelly’s varied and revered professional experience spans the political arena, the business community, and the world of art and history. He will share the inspiring stories of his “Pathway to Leadership”.
