Michael Burgess, a citizen of the Comanche Nation, graduated from Oklahoma State University with a dual major in Business Management and Organizational Administration and a minor in Political Science and Economic Development and in 2014 earned his Master of Public Administration from Grand Canyon University. Michael has served on the Comanche Nation Business Committee, as Comanche Nation Tribal Administrator, and in 2009, Mr. Burgess returned to the Comanche Nation as the Chairman. Michael immersed himself with Comanche culture serving as Master of Ceremonies to many powwows, announcing for Indian dances/events and composing songs for both the Native American Church and for the powwow arena and now is passing that knowledge along to relatives and fellow members of the Native American Church.
