Speaker Information: Mickey Dollens represents the 93rd Legislative District in Oklahoma. Representative Dollens has authored multiple legislative bills focused on equality for all Oklahomans. In April 2021, Rep. Dollens’ legislation known as Ida’s Law was signed into law. Ida’s law created the Liaison Office of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons within the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation.

Mickey Dollens was born and raised in Bartlesville, Oklahoma and attended Southern Methodist University after graduating from high school. Mickey began his public service by teaching 9th grade English at US Grant High School in south Oklahoma City. Budget cuts set forth by the Oklahoma Legislature resulted in teacher cuts. Dollens vowed that no teacher or school should go through what he did as he launched his legislative campaign, and he was elected in November 2016. Representative Dollens ran unopposed in the 2022 election.

Representative Dollens is the current House Minority Whip and serves on multiple committees including A&B Public Safety, Alcohol Tobacco and Controlled Substances, Elections and Ethics, and Utilities. In 2019, he was honored by the Oklahoma Democratic Veterans with their prestigious Legislator of the Year Award.
