Additional Information: Please join us as we welcome Lindsay King as she shares insights from her work in Tribal Health Care across Indian Country.  Lindsay works in the Osage Nation Health System as the Chief Strategy Officer for Wahzhazhe Health Center.  Lindsay is a proud citizen of the Cherokee Nation, from Lost City, Oklahoma. Prior to joining the Osage Nation Health System, Lindsay spent 18 years of her career with the Indian Health Service (IHS). During her time with IHS, she served in various leadership roles within the Nashville and Oklahoma City IHS Areas, as well as IHS Headquarters. Lindsay has dedicated her career to supporting tribes and tribal organizations in advancing the IHS self-determination, self-governance and urban Indian health programs. Lindsay held the delegated authority from the Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services to serve as an Agency Lead Negotiator for 6 IHS Area Offices, assisting Tribes and Tribal Organizations across Indian Country in their successful pursuits of assuming their hospital and health clinic operations via compacts and funding agreements under the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act.  

Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Northeastern State University, located in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and a Master of Business Administration degree, with an emphasis in Healthcare Management, from The George Washington University, in Washington, D.C. The Oklahoma City Chapter of the American Indian Chamber of Commerce Oklahoma is excited to have Lindsay King as our presenter for our annual Native Health Care Month luncheon!
