James Pepper Henry, Director/CEO, and Shoshana Wasserman, Associate Director, for the American Indian Cultural Center Foundation (AICCF), will give a project update along with the cultural and economical impact the American Indian Cultural Center and Museum will have on Indian Country.

James (Kaw Citizen, Muscogee Creek) has been involved in The American Indian Center’s development since 2004 when he helped inform the conceptual design. Most recently, James Pepper Henry served as Executive Director of the Gilcrease Museum. Prior to the Gilcrease Museum he served as Director and CEO of the Heard Museum in Phoenix, AZ. He also served as Executive Director/CEO for a six-year tenure at the Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center, Alaska’s premier art, history and science institution.

Shoshana (Thlopthlocco Tribal Town, Muscogee Creek) was hired as the Director of Marketing and Public Relations for The American Indian Cultural Center and Museum March 1, 2007 and previously served as the Program Planning Consultant for The Center from October 1, 2005 – March 1, 2007. Prior to her role with the museum, she served as the Development Director for City Arts Center and Oklahoma Children’s Theatre for one year and then continued as the Public Relations Director for eleven years.
