About the Speaker: Albert Johnson, Jr. was appointed Vice President for University Advancement at
Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma in November 2007. A member of the
president’s senior executive staff, he oversees the operations of the University’s
Development and Alumni offices. Other duties include oversight of Events’
Management and Cameron’s business incubator, the Center for Emerging
Technology and Entrepreneurial Studies (CETES).

Albert retired from the United States Army as a Colonel after a distinguished Army
career of over 28 years. A Field Artilleryman, he commanded at the battery, battalion
and brigade level. Battalion Command was with the 1 st Battalion, 82 nd Field Artillery
“Dragons” at Fort Hood, Texas and he commanded the 1 st Infantry Division Artillery
“Drumfire” in Bamberg, Germany. He completed his Army career as the Assistant
Commandant, Field Artillery School and Deputy Commanding Officer, United States
Army Fires Center of Excellence and Fort Sill in August 2007.

Albert is active in his community serving as a Trustee of the Comanche County
Fairgrounds Trust Authority, a member, of the Fires Innovation Science and
